[attr="class,"bioentry"]no one really wants skylar around, or at least that's how he feels. cast aside by his father, who went back to australia when skylar was three, and unwanted by his mother, who remarried two years later, skylar has always felt as though he would be better off alone. he dislikes any sort of responsibility or expectations or obligations, because why the hell should he do something for someone who will just leave him in the end anyway. skylar has a lot of bitterness in him, but he drowns out his demons by drinking, smoking, partying, and sleeping around. it was a lot easier when he lived in the big city, but since his aunt passed, he couldn't pay for the apartment they were renting, and skylar would rather go somewhere else than find a job. so he went to live with an uncle in delphin bay, whose condition was that he needed to go to university. [attr="class,"bioentry"] [ gareth cavanaugh ] - father, a nonexistent figure in his life, skylar has never bothered trying to find him, skylar is sometimes curious what his father is up these days but he ultimately tells himself that he doesn't give a flying fuck [ jane smith (nee lockley) ] - mother, remarried when skylar was five, skylar made sure to give her as much hell as possible his entire life because she should have made him a priority when he was a child, she palmed him off to her sister when skylar turned fifteen and was no longer able to be handled at home [ aaron smith ] - step-father, would have tried to be patient with skylar but skylar made sure to give him no opportunity to be a father, tried to be patient with skylar but ultimately for the sake of his kids he sided with jane to hand skylar to his aunt [ jake smith ] - younger half-brother, sixteen, skylar hasn't seen him in eight years, neither of them bother to keep in touch, skylar made sure to antagonise his younger brother as much as he could, skylar also made sure to smoke and cuss as much as he could around him, enjoying his discomfort [ lisa smith - younger half-sister, thirteen, skylar hasn't seen her in eight years, lisa tried to message skylar once but he made sure that she would never message him again, skylar didn't antagonise her as much as jake but he made her cry a few times just to make her hate him [ jennifer grey (nee lockley) ] - mother's older sister, a tough-loving taking-no-shit person, her husband died in the war years ago and she never wanted to marry or love again, was about the only person who skylar would actually listen to [ brett stoter ] - mother's close cousin, a laid back fisherman who lives in delphin bay and with whom skylar now lives with, brett took skylar in because he felt the beach would be a nice change of scenery for the troubled teen skylar has always made sure to give everyone as much hell as he could, and when he says 'everyone', he means everyone. his entire immediate family, his little half-siblings, his teachers, his classmates, the principals, everyone. he was kicked out of a few schools until when he was fifteen, when his mother got so sick of him that she sent him to the city. he sobered a little, due to his tough aunt and because the city boys were a lot tougher than the prissy bitches in the suburbs. but he did grow a little more sneaky with his illegalities, taking up smoking and drinking at a young age. he scraped through high school only because of his aunt with her iron fist. when she died, he spiralled out of control, and it was only a good thing that he was pulled out of the city by his uncle. now though, he has to adjust to living in a small town.
