[attr="class,"bioentry"]evander prides himself in being 'misunderstood' and acting out because of it. he's a 'troubled teenager' and feels he's entitled to call people out on their shit whenever he feels like it. to be quite honest, he is the epitome of 'white male privilege', but he doesn't realise it. he's a bit spoilt, but he feels like his family's wealth is more a curse than a blessing. always wanting to strike out by himself and make his own name, he takes every opportunity to just use his first name and doing 'unique' things. in truth, though, evander is just a teenager trying to find his own feet, but the way he goes about it makes him none too many friends. [attr="class,"bioentry"]when he was younger, evander was the most polite and gentlemanly boy in the neighbourhood. he had an older sister, and both of them were brought up by doting parents with some wealth. coming from a nicer neighbourhood made evander a bit spoilt - while his older sister delta was the apple of their parents' eye, evander quickly grew to resent his family and what he started to see as their blindness to the 'real world' and being like sheep by following fashion and being weak in the face of political power. maybe it had something to do with his childhood, when he saw his parents (whom he idolised as a child) defer to others with more wealth or power. it was a blow to his ego that his childhood heroes weren't all-powerful. no one is really sure; evander has a lot of funny ideas about how he sees the world. he does okay in school, neither working too hard nor completely slacking - giving just enough effort to pass things because he doesn't want to humiliate himself. because that is one thing evander hates: being weak or shamed.
